Agreement

These terms apply when you hire California Creative Studio for website, design, print, or merchandise work. A written quote or order confirmation, together with these terms, forms our agreement.

Scope and quotes

Every quote lists what is included, the price, and the expected timeline. Work outside that description is a new quote, not an assumed extra. Prices shown on the site are starting points; final pricing depends on scope and is confirmed in writing before work begins.

Payment

Fixed-price projects are paid up front unless we agree otherwise in writing. Print and merchandise orders are paid before production is released to the vendor. Payment confirms the quote and starts the timeline.

Your responsibilities

Timelines assume we have what we need from you: copy, images, logo files, product details, and prompt feedback at review points. If materials or approvals are delayed, the delivery date moves accordingly. You confirm you have the right to use any content, logo, or artwork you send us.

Revisions

Each quote states the number of revision rounds included. A round means one consolidated set of feedback. Additional rounds and changes of direction after approval are billed at our current hourly rate, quoted before we start.

Print and merchandise

You approve a digital proof before anything goes to production. Once a proof is approved, the order cannot be changed or cancelled. Printed color can vary slightly from what you see on screen, and vendor quantities may vary marginally on large runs. If an order arrives defective or materially different from the approved proof, tell us within 10 days and we will replace it.

Ownership

When a project is paid in full, you own the final delivered files and the right to use them for your business. We retain ownership of working files, unused concepts, and any reusable components, templates, or code libraries used to build your project. Third-party fonts, stock imagery, and plugins remain under their own licenses, which we will identify.

Portfolio use

We may show completed work in our portfolio and marketing. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will keep the project private.

Websites after launch

Unless a maintenance agreement is in place, hosting, domain renewals, updates, and ongoing changes are your responsibility after launch. We are happy to quote ongoing support separately.

Cancellation

You may cancel before production begins for a full refund. Once work has started, we refund the portion not yet performed. Approved print and merchandise orders are not refundable.

Liability

Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or lost business.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Questions go to hello@californiacreates.com.
